Introducing Oliver & his family…

Gary has been bringing his son, Oliver, to Blade for over 7 years. After struggling with numerous different salons who were unable to adjust to Oliver’s complex needs.

We spoke to Gary to find out exactly what Blade means to him and his family.

Whilst Oliver was in his appointment, we had a little sit down with Gary to find out some more about their personal journey and experiences at Blade.

He told us that Caroline always “makes them feel welcome” adding that “straight away you felt at ease” for their appointment. It was the extra care and attention to detail that Gary loved about visiting Blade, he notes that “Caroline spoke to us before on the phone, asked about Oliver, anything she can do for him when he gets here” which helped ease their transition into the appointment.

Having a child with additional needs, the Sensory Studio has been an “absolute god send” for Gary and his family, allowing them to have a “little bit more privacy” and their own space when it comes to difficult appointments.

Gary went on to tell us that they had “a few hard haircuts to start with” but with the help of Caroline and the team it got “a lot easier” and they now consider Caroline and her family, as friends and will be coming to Blade “as long as we’re allowed”.
